Nordrep diving Rudder Cofferdam

Under water  repair:
Nordrep’s team of divers/fitters and certified welders perform a under water repair of a cracked rudder.

 

A pre-fabricated cofferdam was fitted to the rudder and repair carried out dry environment . On completion the welding was tested and the job class approved as a permanent repair.

 

The job was carried out in 48 Hrs. with the vessel not being gasfree.

 

A similar repair has been carried out on board a sister class vessel in Mexico.
